Crosby Associates Media has smashed digital records once again – with North Squared Media playing a pivotal role in delivering rapid audience growth across its expanding portfolio of titles.

From a huge 1,000% rise in traffic for Build News to a 49% uplift for flagship B2B title Housing Executive, the group is seeing sustained digital momentum thanks to a renewed focus on audience-first editorial strategy – developed and led by North Squared Media’s Karl Holbrook.

Nowhere has that growth been more dramatic than at Rochdale Times, launched in April in partnership with North Squared. The site has hit 52,242 unique users in three months – making it Crosby’s biggest digital brand and seeing traffic rise again 21% month-on-month.

“These results are the clearest possible sign that there is an appetite for what we are doing,” said Karl Holbrook, founder of North Squared Media. “We’re trying to turn up for the community, working to deliver value, and building digital brands that communities and businesses genuinely want to engage with. We’ve only just started but it’s great to see this early success.”

North Squared Media now leads audience development across the Crosby portfolio and provides editorial leadership on a number of its publications, including Feature Focus for Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and others.

Crosby’s momentum has also been bolstered by major new publishing partnerships, including with the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, whose business magazine has been relaunched with a fresh quarterly format and long-form content. This follows the successful revamp of Focus Magazine with Staffordshire Chambers, now moving into its second edition under the new model.

The company also continues to invest in talent, recently appointing Linda Fellows as Sales Director. Linda brings more than 30 years’ experience in media and digital advertising, having held senior commercial roles at Newsquest Media Ltd and North Wales Newspaper Group.
